Pride and Glory

Truth. Honor. Loyalty. Family. What are you willing to sacrifice?

Edward Norton, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight and Noah Emmerich star in “Pride and Glory,” a gritty and emotional portrait of a multi-generational police family who find themselves on opposite sides of an incendiary corruption scandal in the New York City Police Department.

Ray Tierney investigates the death of four fellow police officers which leads him to uncover corruption that involves his brother’s squad. Faced with this information, Ray must decide between covering up the scandal or revealing the truth. Blue runs in Ray’s family and his brother, father, and brother-in-law insist that he must not reveal the corruption because it will do nothing but cause havoc in their family.

When Ray first uncovers evidence that suggests corruption in his brother’s squad, Ray approaches his brother but when his brother lies to him things take a turn for the worse. Ray believes that his brother-in-law is using fellow cops as murder for hire agents. Ray is hounded by his father, a former police chief, to let things lie and take the setup that his brother-in-law handed him. The setup would provide an answer to the public without killing the Tierney legacy.

The plot was not worthy of the big screen while the climax of the movie was atrocious leaving the viewer unsatisfied.
