For the past several weeks, the rumor mill has been churning out speculations that there’s tension on the set of Heroes brought about by two of its cast members’ recent split.  Hayden Panettiere, who plays Claire on the NBC series, is reportedly trying to get her former boyfriend and 31-year-old costar Milo Ventimiglia out of the show.  A mutual friend of the couple even told OK! Magazine that Panettiere is “making it difficult for everyone involved” as “she refuses to be on the set at the same time as him.”

Naturally, Panettiere wasn’t pleased with the idea that she’s playing it dirty so she decided to finally break her silence.

“Milo and I are very close,” the 19-year-old actress insisted to OK! Magazine.  “We have enjoyed and continue to enjoy working together.”
