When Elle Woods young, blonde cousins Annie and Izzy (Milly and Becky Rosso) moved from England to California, they thought their pink clothes, small dogs and street smarts would make them instantly fit in and feel at home. However, they find they are miles away from the uniform fashions and money-focused power structure of their new prep school. When the schools reigning forces turn on the girls and try to frame them for a crime, Izzy and Annie must use their cleverness and charm to clear their names and show the school that in the classroom or the courtroom, they should never underestimate the power of blondes!
“Presented By Reese Witherspoon” is supposed to draw in the original movie fans but they will be disappointed. The plot is the same as other high school movies; new kid in school (twins in this case), mean ‘top dog’ girl that must be overthrown, a love story between the new kid and the ‘top dog’ male, and they threw in a love interest for the other twin. Overlooking these issues, it was a so-so movie. Not rewatchable but not a complete waste of time or money if you have a tween or two in your house.

There are reports out there that Christina Aguilera is interested in starring in “Burlesque,” a film about a modern-day striptease dancer, sources tell E! Online.
Although the site doesn’t have further information about how far along Aguilera is in the process of securing the role, there is word that “Dancing With the Stars” favorite Julianne Hough has also met with producers about co-starring as a pregnant showgirl.
Playing a burlesque dancer on film wouldn’t be too difficult for Aguilera, who got saucy covering Labelle’s “Lady Marmalade” for the “Moulin Rogue” soundtrack. She followed that up with her stint as “Dirrty” Christina on her 2002 album, Stripped, posing topless for the cover. Then, in 2006, she embraced her inner pin-up for Back to Basics. This would be the first major film role for the singer.
Ashanti will topline the Encores! Summer Stars staging of “The Wiz,” beginning perfs in June.

Christina Applegate was devastated when photographers caught her smoking just months after she won her battle with cancer, because it was a “rare slip up”.

The actress insists it was a minor setback in her battle to quit her nicotine habit after a traumatic past year, during which her ex-boyfriend Lee Grivas died of a drug overdose.
She tells People magazine, “It’s been very painful because I feel it was discounting all the work that I’ve done. The day I found out I had cancer I quit everything that was bad for me that I was putting in my body.
“Over the last year, with everything that’s happened, there have been a couple of times that I’ve slipped up. That was one of those rare occasions – and of course they got the picture.”
“Sex and the City” actress Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls via a surrogate mother, their representatives said on Tuesday.
Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, “are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed,” a statement from the couple said.
The couple have a six year old son, James, and have long wanted to add to their family but had no luck, an unidentified friend was quoted as telling Entertainment Weekly magazine.
A judge on Tuesday ordered Britney Spears’ former self-styled manager Sam Lutfi to stay away from the pop star for three years, after the singer’s father accused Lutfi of trying to undermine the conservatorship Spears lives under.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aviva Bobb also issued the same order to attorney Jon Eardley, who has presented himself as Spears’ lawyer.

Catherine Zeta Jones will team up with her former Mask of Zorro co-star Antonio Banderas for a film based on the life of Salvador Dali.
Filming on the production is due to begin next month in Spanish holiday-hotspot Alicante, at the Ciudad de la Luz studios. Zeta Jones will take on the role of Dali’s nurse, Gala, while Banderas will play the surrealist artist. Gala married Dali and had a string of affairs.
