Rihanna has asked the LA police to return jewelry taken as evidence the night she was attacked and beaten by her then boyfriend Chris Brown.

Police took earrings and three rings from the singer hours before the Grammy Awards ceremony in February.

The items, which were on loan from a shop, are worth over $1.4m.
