Once again Brittany Snow is going back to the past.
After exploring the 1960s in the NBC series “American Dreams” and the musical comedy “Hairspray,” the Tampa native is tripping back to the 1980s on The CW’s “Gossip Girl.”
In flashback segments, Snow plays the 17-year-old incarnation of Lily van der Woodson, a “Gossip Girl” character played by Kelly Rutherford.
After Suri Cruise and Brangelina’s children, Mexican star Salma Hayek’s daughter Valentina is turning out to be the latest favourite star kid for the paparazzi.
Hayek recently showed off Valentina to the cast and crew of her latest flick ‘Grown Up’ while shooting in Massachusetts on Thursday, Daily mail online reported.
Dressed in jeans, trainers and a pink T-shirt with the slogan ‘sweet fish from Mexico City’, the 20-month-old Valentina Paloma Pinault looked in her element as photographers clamoured to capture her on camera, the newspaper said.
Total egomaniac, says Janet Hubert, 53, who played Aunt Viv on the Fresh Prince’s breakout show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Hubert lashes out at Smith in her memoir, Perfection Is Not a Sitcom Mom, which is slated for a 2010 release. In excerpts released to various blogs and media outlets, Hubert accuses Smith of sabotaging her work on the show. (She was fired in ’93 and replaced with Daphne Maxwell Reid.)
“Smith had people around him who made sure no one outshone him,” Hubert writes in an excerpt released to BlackVoices.com’s Ent blog, BVbuzz.com.
So far, there’s been no comment from Smith.
Rihanna and Chris Brown reportedly are looking to have a court-ordered protection order banning the pair from contacting one another lifted because they want to work on their friendship.
A Los Angeles Supreme Court judge sentenced Brown to community service and probation on Monday after he pleaded guilty to assaulting the Rihanna following an altercation in February that left Rihanna battered and bruised.
Brown was also told he must stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna and keep a distance of 10 yards from her if they attend the same event.
The canceled comedy “My Name Is Earl” may not be dead after all, thanks (possibly) to TBS.
The cable channel and 20th Century Fox TV, which produces the series, have started talks on reviving the show, The Hollywood Reporter says. They’re negotiating a 13-episode pickup for the show, which ran for four seasons on NBC and was one of the more notable cancellations at last month’s upfronts.
Rumors that another network would pick up the show hadn’t gone anywhere until now. Such a move would make sense for TBS, which already produces several original comedies and runs repeats of “Earl” on Monday nights. The show goes into daily syndication on TBS in the fall.

Katherine Heigl’s rep lashed out at a report in the New York Post that said the actress was dropped from an upcoming A-list movie ensemble due to her asking price of $3 million for 14 days of work. The “Grey’s Anatomy” star, who broke into movies with the 2007 comedy “Knocked Up,” was expected to join Hollywood superstars Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner and Anne Hathaway in the romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day,” due to hit screens in 2011. The rep told PageSix, “The story is ludicrous.
