Zoe Saldana talks about being a geek. I am actually! I’m very proud to say I am a geek. But I’m kind of a cool geek. I grew up in a very sci-fi home so I’ve seen a lot of sci-fi movies, from Dune to Alien, 2001, ET, Batteries Not Included… All these films I go crazy for. But never Star Trek.
You’ll be hearing more of Christina Aguilera’s voice on the radio soon, but it won’t be in the form of a song. Instead, the pop singer will work as a DJ.
Aguilera’s very own radio station is set to debut Friday. The 24-hour online channel will be distributed across Clear Channel Radio’s “iheartradio” network, and will feature interviews, news, personal commentary from Aguilera as well as her favorite tunes.
“It stands across so many different feels and genres from A Tribe Called Quest to the Beatles to Billie Holiday to Bjork to Black Sabbath, Jay-Z,” she said in a phone interview from Los Angeles on Wednesday.
A very in-costume Dakota Fanning was spotted by a Twilight fansite community (here), as well as one Alice-looking Ashley Greene.
The two were out and about getting ready for filming of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. This smile, donned by Fanning in the photograph, is remniscient of the one which we read about in Stephenie Meyer’s New Moon – one which can and does pin Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) to the floor. Also, Fanning, despite her usual youthful appearance, looks a lot older than she is – a plus for her return to the series (as a growing teenager) on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (and, hopefully Breaking Dawn).
Britney Spears took time off from splashing in the waves of the Bahamas with her sons and her “agent” (read: boyfriend) to attend the wedding of her cousin Laura Lynne Covington as an “honorary” bridesmaid. We’re not exactly sure what the “honorary” means. But maybe if you’re the most famous pop star in the world, everything you do is a little bit “honorary.”
Spears and her family attended the wedding on in Amite, LA. A wedding guest said of Spears’s attendance at the wedding, “When her brother walked her down the aisle, she looked stunningly calm and beautiful. She was very pretty, low-key. She was not the center of everything, just pretty and calm and collected.”

The Twitter-obsessed duo is threatening to sign off of the global networking site if a proposed reality show comes to fruition. According to Variety, Twitter.com is linking with TV producers Reveille and Brillstein Entertainment for an “unscripted show that would be putting ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format.”
Responded Kutcher: “Wow, I hope this isn’t true. I really don’t like being sold out. May have to take a twitter hiatus.”
Demi, who posted photos of herself with a missing front tooth over the weekend (below r.), echoed her young hubby: “I hope this isn’t true – if it is, our Twitter time may come to a quick and sad end!”
There’s a nice bit of method acting from the 37-year-old in new flick The Private Lives of Pippa Lee – she plays self-proclaimed ‘basket case’ Sandra Dulles.
“I was very nervous and insecure about pulling it off. But then, I could use the insecurity because Sandra is insecure,” she told Elle, before commenting on some of her inspiration; “I worked with Meryl Streep on The House of the Spirits. I always thought actors had to be really depressed or moody or anguished to be great, but she was completely fine and had her family and came to work and did an amazing job and she wasn’t that way. I remember that being a really big deal to me. And I was like, ‘Wow, I can actually be happy and be good at the same time!’”
It looks like Kristen Stewart has replaced her best friend Nikki Reed.
Robert Pattinson’s onscreen lover has been spending more and more time with Ashley Greene and new girl Dakota Fanning.
The trio have been eating lunch together away from the New Moon boys.
Nikki and Kristen have been really close ever since filming Twilight and enjoyed spending lots of time hanging out in Vancouver.
