The Canadian mini-series Guns, starring Colm Feore and Elisha Cuthbert, was the big winner Wednesday night at the Geminis, Canada’s TV awards, with five trophies, including best director for David Sutherland.
The two-part TV movie on the CBC about four families swept up in the illegal gun trade in Canada, also earned the team of Sutherland and Jennifer Holness a best writing trophy, and best supporting actor and actress trophies for Cle Bennett and Debra Lynne McCabe.
