A decade has passed since the Anna Kournikova virus infected computers on a global scale, and its legacy lives on.
Any email user who attempted to open the image found that instead they had given permission to a rogue application that had the sole purpose of entering their address book and propagating itself.
At the time, it spread twice as fast as its notorious predecessor the ILOVEYOU virus, and its presence was felt across the globe.
