I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for The Twilight Saga to end so we can get back to awarding others outside of Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart. It just gets old with the same handful of people on stage all the time.
I’d bet Emma Watson was thinking the same thing during the entire show. Did you see her face during Kristen Stewart’s acceptance speech. Although we did learn that Robert Pattinson should not be allowed to ad lib. Ever! First during his shared acceptance speech for Best Fight, he says “I ripped your head off, and now you’re pregnant!” What?! Wait is that how it happens? Does that mean he’s the father?
The next award speech leads him to kiss Taylor Lautner. Apparently award shows now need a controversial kiss to keep fans on their toes.
Then he throws out the following when presenting the Generation Award to Reese Witherspoon.
“I don’t know if everyone knows, but I did my first movie with you. Called ‘Vanity Fair,’ and you played my mother. What I later learned though was that you were directly responsible for cutting my part of the movie — [Reese shakes her head in the audience] — This is the truth,” he said. “Seven years later, we worked together in a movie called ‘Water for Elephants.’ And this time you played my lover. I didn’t cut you out. But I did f*ck you. Reese, working with you twice and not getting cut out once was such a special experience but if there’s one thing I’ll take with me. As you get older, it’s not always a bad thing to have sexual chemistry with your mother. Congratulations.”
Yes, he said f*ck. No, the censors didn’t catch it so it was clear as day.
Don’t worry, Witherspoon got him back during her acceptance speech.
“By the way Rob, the punchline to your joke was I played your mother. We had a sex scene. So really you’re the best motherf**ker in Hollywood.”
But, the censors were ready this time.
Seems like everyone got a little touchy during the award show. Oh and when did concert tours become movie award worthy? I guess if anyone could do it, Bieber would be the one.
I was very surprised that Chloë Grace Moretz and Ellen Page didn’t get a chance to accept their awards.
