Jolie Didnt Want Her Own Kids Before Brad

Filed under: Angelina Jolie, Female Celebrities — Tags: — Tim @ 12:22 am

Angelina Jolie’s biological clock only started ticking when she met Brad.

The actress, who is now rumored to be keen on adopting a fourth child from Haiti, says her Brad romance finally got her biological clock ticking after homing in on him during the filming of Mr & Mrs Smith, when he was still with Jennifer Aniston.

“When I met him…I didn’t want to get pregnant”, Jolie recalls.

At the time, the actress had already adopted Cambodian orphan Maddox, now 8 and was in the process of adopting Ethiopian daughter Zahara, now 5.

Now Ange reveals: “I always wanted to adopt, but I never had the desire of experiencing biological motherhood.”

In a touching tribute to Brad, Jolie says he “taught me to be more patient and to enjoy everything that exists in the world.”

Since, the pair have had three biological children, three-year-old daughter Shiloh and 18 month-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

As she makes a humanitarian pilgrimage to the Haiti earthquake zone, the actress says she’s determined to make her kids conscious of how lucky they are in Tinseltown.

“I want to raise my children correctly and help them understand the inequality that exists in the world”, Jolie told Australia’s Marie Claire magazine.

Trust Fund For Jolie Kids

Filed under: Angelina Jolie, Female Celebrities — Tags: — Tim @ 12:25 am

Three of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children were left a handsome six-figure sum by the actress’ late mother, according to documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last week.

Actress Marcheline Bertrand — who died in 2007 after a cancer battle — gave Maddox, 8, Zahara, 6, and Shiloh, 3, each $100,000 in a new trust fund. The three cannot have access to the money until they turn 25.

Why were Pax, 4, and newborn twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline (who was named after her grandmother) left out?

TMZ.com reports that “Grandma’s will was last updated in 2006, before any of them came into the picture … so they lose out.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will always have somewhere to stay in Oklahoma.

The owners of a new home inspired by the Hollywood A-listers have agreed to give the stars lifetime access to the property, which is just 50 miles from Pitt’s birthplace of Shawnee, Oklahoma.

The $500,000 home in Edmond, Oklahoma is reportedly being put up for sale on 16 December.

Artist publicist Cory Allen confirmed: “The buyers of ‘The Brangelina’ will have to sign a contract that allows Brad and Angelina lifetime access to visit the home.”

The master bedroom of the home pays tribute to their relationship with a life-size casting of the two stars in a naked and passionate embrace, which “was installed to inspire the room’s occupants with love”, according to Allen.

Jolie Gives Opinion To Obama

Filed under: Angelina Jolie, Female Celebrities — Tags: — Tim @ 12:19 pm

In honor of Human Rights Day 2009, Angelina Jolie has put her beliefs to paper and penned an op-ed piece for Newsweek, guiding President Obama on its intention to “improve the lives of the people of Darfur.”

“I would like to know what that means, besides the obvious point that their lives could hardly get worse,” Jolie, 34 and a United Nations goodwill ambassador, writes in her role as co-chair of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

“In Sudan,” she advises, “the administration should explore ways to bring al-Bashir to justice, even as it encourages stability in Darfur. This means bringing all permanent members of the U.N. Security Council on board to send the message that the international community will not tolerate mass atrocities.”

She adds, “I also hope we will act sooner and more powerfully to prevent future atrocities,” and suggests a Council on Foreign Relations report funded by the Jolie-Pitt Foundation that “offers recommendations to improve the U.N. Security Council’s responsiveness by discouraging vetoes in cases of mass atrocities, while urging the United States to make clear its willingness to act on its own if necessary.”

Jolie – Pitt Split

In the latest issue of In Touch, in a cover story entitled “Brad Says Goodbye,” new details are emerging that Pitt and Jolie are about to be finished forever. Pitt, tired of the endless fighting with Jolie, has finally had enough. He wants to be more like his old friend George Clooney, and put some fun back into his middle aged lifestyle.

Consider the latest eye-witness report about a Brad Pitt sighting.

“Brad looked scruffy, bloated, and unshaven,” said Raquel Espinola, who recently saw Pitt. “He looks as if he’s living out of his suitcase.”

In this case, that might be closer to the truth than anticipated.

Jolie watches child soldiers trial

Filed under: Angelina Jolie, Female Celebrities — Tags: — Tim @ 2:05 pm

Angelina Jolie sat in a courtside booth Tuesday at the International Criminal Court and watched the trial of a Congolese warlord charged with using child soldiers.

In a statement released by the court, Jolie, a mother of six, said the case against Thomas Lubanga is a “landmark trial for children” and paid tribute to the former child soldiers who travel to the court’s seat in The Hague to testify.

“After watching the proceedings from the viewing booth, I stood up and found Thomas Lubanga Dyilo looking at me,” Jolie said. “I imagined how difficult it must be for all the brave young children who have come to testify against him.”
