It seems that it’s now a proven fact that one just has to be touched by “Twilight” to earn instant worldwide fan recognition, and maybe say a line or two to go from unknown to established actor. For Ashley Greene, who had previously only starred for a few episodes in a couple TV series and landed a role in some unknown movies, it has created her career.

On Friday, The Hollywood Reporter broke the story that Ashley had been chosen to star in “Butter,” an upcoming film starring and produced by Jennifer Garner, also starring Rob Corddy. It’s starting filming this week in Louisiana, and is directed by “She’s Out of My League’s” Jim Field Smith.

“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” tore up the box office record for best opening day, grabbing the title away from Warner Bros. “The Dark Knight,” and earning a spectacular $72.7 million yesterday at 4,024 theaters.

An exceptional feat for a film playing outside the summer frame.

There were an array of estimates being reported on the internet about how high the first day of “New Moon” actually was. This morning’s figure is Summit’s official Friday estimate.

“Dark Knight” had minted $67.2 million from 4,366 runs on July 18, 2008 before making a three-day opening weekend of $158.4 million.

Several sources are reporting nude photographs of Ashley Greene.

A very in-costume Dakota Fanning was spotted by a Twilight fansite community (here), as well as one Alice-looking Ashley Greene.

The two were out and about getting ready for filming of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. This smile, donned by Fanning in the photograph, is remniscient of the one which we read about in Stephenie Meyer’s New Moon – one which can and does pin Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) to the floor. Also, Fanning, despite her usual youthful appearance, looks a lot older than she is – a plus for her return to the series (as a growing teenager) on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (and, hopefully Breaking Dawn).

Making the trip from Vancouver to Italy,  Ashley Greene was spotted making the most of her first day in paradise by taking a trip to the hotel pool on Sunday (May 24).

The “Twilight” actress ended up getting a bit sunburned as she showed off her bikini body, then heading off to spend time with fellow “New Moon” co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
