A mere week after Avril Lavigne filed for divorce from Derek Whibley – the Sum 41 frontman was spotted in a heavy breathing session with new love interest Hanna Beth Merjos.

The two were caught on camera by TMZ.com openly kissing his in at Tattoo Mania in Hollywood.

Speculation swirled on Thursday that Avril Lavigne and hubby Deryck Whibley are calling it quits after three years of marriage.

A source dished to Us Magazine that “Complicated” singer Lavigne, 24, “dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on. Divorce papers will be filed any day now.”

Another insider tells the mag that Sum 41 frontman Whibley, 29, “is crushed.”

No divorce papers have surfaced yet, however, and reps for the pair did not return the magazine’s calls for comment.

Still, tongues have wagged for some time now that the musical marriage was falling flat.

Avril Lavigne is keen to cement her rock credentials – by revealing she loves trashing hotel rooms.

The Sk8er Boi star, who recently split from husband Deryck Whibley, is adamant her pop punk status doesn’t prevent her from following in the footsteps of hardened rockers and causing mayhem on the road.

Avril Lavigne has made a career out of jumpy, raucous pop-punk anthems like “Sk8er Boi” and “Girlfriend.” But on her upcoming fourth album, slated for November release, she will be taking a completely different approach to her music.

“A lot of the songs are mainly the acoustic and my vocal,” Lavigne told Billboard.com. “It’s a lot different from anything I’ve done before. It’s not a pop-rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling.”

It seems Avril Lavigne can’t get enough of herself – she was seen stripping off to a bikini and groping herself on sunny Malibu beach.

Contactmusic.com reports that the singer recently signed a major deal with beauty company Procter & Gamble to produce a new toiletries line, including perfume, aftershave, bath oil, bath soap, shower gel, body shampoo and body lotion.
