Catherine Zeta-Jones canceled another performance in her Broadway show, “A Little Night Music” this weekend as she struggles to shake off a virus.
The Welsh actress pulled out of several shows over the last few weeks after falling sick, returning to the stage late last month.
But the “Chicago” star proved she is still not in full health after scrapping plans to appear in a matinee performance on Sunday.
Zeta-Jones was also due to sing at a charity fundraiser for the Actors’ Fund later that night, but her appearance at the event was also canceled.
The 40-year-old was reportedly willing to perform despite her illness, but was ordered to stay home and rest by her worried husband, Michael Douglas, according to the New York Post.
A source tells the newspaper Zeta-Jones is feeling “deeply frustrated” by her inability to get back on stage.
Michael Douglas felt sorry for wife Catherine Zeta-Jones when they first got married.
The ‘Fatal Attraction’ star wed the actress in 2000 but admits they were both hurt by the criticism aimed at them because of their 25-year age gap.
He said: “It was thrown up at you constantly. I felt bad for her.”
Following their wedding, the couple – who have two children, Dylan, nine, and six-year-old Carys – moved to Bermuda, where they could escape the media spotlight although they have since moved back to New York.
In an interview in the March/April issue of AARP magazine, Douglas, 65, admitted he uses modern medicine to satisfy wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, who’s 25 years his junior.
“God bless her that she likes older guys,” he said.
“And some wonderful enhancements have happened in the last few years — Viagra, Cialis — that can make us all feel younger.”

The flick sees Catherine playing a single mother – who falls for her children’s 25-year-old babysitter – played by The Hangover’s Justin Bartha.
In the trailer below, the actress proves she is still one of Hollywood’s hottest women – showing off her figure in revealing outfits and dancing seductively in a nightclub.
But last year, the Welsh star insisted she would be playing more “grown-up” roles in the future. She said: “I’m going to play more mums than sex symbols. I’m too old to play younger characters.”

The commercial kicks off with T-Mobile telling viewers that eight out of 10 Americans unknowingly pay too much for cellphone service. A team of economists is dispatched to homes to help consumers out, and they get the typical response that door-to-door salesmen receive.
Cue Ms. Zeta-Jones, who starred in T-Mobile’s “Get More” advertising three years ago. She asks the man who comes to the door: “Have a moment for a mobile makeover?”
