Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 38-year-old actress — who is engaged to her baby’s father, rocker Martyn Lenoble — didn’t dish on the baby’s gender (“that is for me to know,” she said) and would only reveal that she’s “somewhere between zero and 10 months” along.
As for pregnancy cravings, she said that besides avocados, she likes “weird things at weird hours.”
Her trick to dressing while pregnant? Wearing high heels!
The actress joked, “It offsets the impending growth of width.”
She’s already beaten breast cancer, so motherhood should be a snap for Christina Applegate.
The 38-year-old actress is expecting her first child with her fiancé, Dutch musician Martyn Lenoble.
Applegate’s publicist, Ame Van Iden, confirmed a report that first appeared Wednesday on People.com. The baby’s due date hasn’t been announced.

When the Anchorman star was 19 she appeared alongside David Duchovny in the movie, which has been earmarked for a remake according to movie blog Pajiba.com.
Christina tweeted: “DTMTBD remake? mmmm. Well one thing is for sure, the fashion will be better and the eyebrows shall be groomed…”
The teen comedy – about a family of kids living home alone for the summer after their elderly babysitter dies while their mother is away on business – is to be remade by 2012 producer Mark Gordon via his The Mark Gordon Company.
Development just began on the film, and it’s currently being scripted.
Christina played the teenage sister who faked her ID to get a job in an office so the kids could buy groceries with no mother and no babysitter around.
Duchovny played a sleazy guy in her office who cottons on to the fact she may not be who she says she is, and The Good Wife’s Josh Charles played the object of her affections.
No parts have been cast for the remake but fans are hoping Christina, 38, will cameo as the mother.

Applegate said: “We’re strictly PG all the way. When I improvise, foul things often come out of my mouth that aren’t on the page. So I really stuck to the script or there would have been some inappropriate words from my chipmunk. It was good to do something that was very wholesome.”
Christina Applegate had a question Friday after she was presented a key to Kansas City: “What does it open?”
Applegate, appearing in the Power & Light District’s Live block, then turned to the crowd before her. “I won’t lock you guys out, I promise!”

Christina Applegate isn’t taking no for an answer! She’s trying anything she can to save her show Samantha Who? which just got axed from the ABC lineup.
For the past week, Christina has been using the celeb-friendly Twitter to ask fans for help in bringing her show back to life. In one Tweet, she wrote, “I am getting a ton of grief for my shameless plugging. Silly. I say why the heck not. I have time on my hands now.”
Call it silly, but other shows have been saved by fan petitions before. So anything is possible! Chuck, Jericho, and Friday Night Lights have all been brought back by fan appreciation, so don’t count Samantha Who? out of the running!
Christina Applegate was devastated when photographers caught her smoking just months after she won her battle with cancer, because it was a “rare slip up”.
Applegate quit the habit after she was diagnosed with the disease last year. She underwent a double mastectomy and was given the all-clear last August.
The actress insists it was a minor setback in her battle to quit her nicotine habit after a traumatic past year, during which her ex-boyfriend Lee Grivas died of a drug overdose.
She tells People magazine, “It’s been very painful because I feel it was discounting all the work that I’ve done. The day I found out I had cancer I quit everything that was bad for me that I was putting in my body.
“Over the last year, with everything that’s happened, there have been a couple of times that I’ve slipped up. That was one of those rare occasions – and of course they got the picture.”
Christina Applegate is planning a return to Broadway – four years after making her debut on the New York stage.
The California-born actress admits she has longed to return to theatre since her stint in the 2005 revival of Sweet Charity, which earned her a Tony Award nomination for best actress in a musical.
