Goodbye 24, hello comedy for Elisha Cuthbert! The network confirmed today that it has picked up the single-camera comedy Happy Endings for fall that stars Cuthbert as a bride who breaks up with her groom at the altar. It’s one of three laughers that earned orders today by ABC

Christian Slater has said Elisha Cuthbert’s “energy” on the set of TV show The Forgotten is second to none.

Elisha recently joined the show, which has struggled for ratings.

Christian said of the 24 actress: “She’s fantastic, I’ve worked with her the last couple of days – we couldn’t have asked for anything better with that kind of energy.”

The actor, who said he hopes the ratings will improve because “it’s a worthy show, a valuable show”, added: “I’m really excited about the direction it’s going in the future – we’re going to mix things up.”

Christian stars in the drama about amateur detectives who investigate the deaths of John and Jane Doe victims.

There are more than 60 floats and groups participating in the parade.

In her role as Kim Bauer in counter-terrorist drama 24, Elisha Cuthbert is used to facing life or death situations. Recently the Calgary-born actress revealed she’s had her fair share of brushes with danger in real life, too.

Appearing on Letterman, the blonde star told the TV host how she had “a Kim Bauer reaction” when she was hit by a car in New York.

“I said, ‘I have three options here’,” remembers the actress. “I can try and outrun it… I can freeze like a deer in the headlights and break both my knees, or I can jump onto the vehicle and propel myself through the entire intersection and land with my purse still in tact. And that’s exactly what happened.”

Keifer Sutherland and Elisha Cuthbert return tonight on 24!

The first scene featuring hero ex-Counter Terrorist Unit agent Jack Bauer in the network’s two-day, four-hour premiere event kicking off tonight. Bauer is seated before a Congressional subcommittee, finally called to account for unlawfully torturing suspects during past emergencies, gravely declining a lawyer and browbeating his inquisitor for questioning his methods.

Bauer is whisked away from his public flogging in minutes when he is summoned by the FBI to aid in an emergency only he can handle, in the way that only he has the stomach to endure.

While the FBI worries over warrants and due process, Bauer wants to torture a suspect to help locate a surprise nemesis; his former CTU partner Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard), who seems to be working for terrorists.

24′s four hour premier starts tonight at 8PM on FOX for two hours and continues tomorrow night also at 8PM on FOX.

Part of the fun of being an actor is getting to work with some seriously fun costars.  And earlier today  Elisha Cuthbert, Tim Allen, and Jenna Elfman were spotted having a great time on the set of their new movie “The Six Wives of Henry Lefay.”

The “24” blonde bombshell looked cute and conservative in a black jacket/skirt combo teamed with a pair of black high-heeled boots as she laughed in between takes.

Cuthbert was joined by Allen and Elfman (driving a classic convertible) who were filming a scene in which Jenna was throwing a bunch of things at Tim, including a sexy blue bra.

When they weren’t filming, the three stars looked to be having a marvelous time joking around with each other.  Then again, with Jenna Elfman and Tim Allen, there’s never a dull moment.
