Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she once suffered from a vitamin D deficiency and advises people to enjoy the sun sensibly.

The 37-year-old gave her tips to stay healthy in the sun in the new edition of her newsletter GOOP.

She said: ‘I suffered a pretty severe tibial plateau fracture a few years ago (requiring surgery), which led the orthopaedic surgeon to give me a bone scan, at which point it was discovered I had the beginning stages of osteopenia.

‘This led my Western/Eastern doctors in New York to test my vitamin D levels, which turned out to be the lowest they had ever seen (not a good thing).

‘I went on a prescription-strength level of vitamin D and was told to… spend a bit of time in the sun! I was curious if this was safe, having been told for years to stay away from its dangerous rays, not to mention a tad bit confused.’

Madonna split from her longtime personal trainer, Tracy Anderson, a few weeks ago and friends claim it was because Anderson was tackling too many issues in her personal life to handle the demands of a client like Madonna.

According to report in Indianopolis Monthly, a paper based out of Anderson’s home state, the trainer behind Madonna’s famously sculpted arms is being sued by investors in her company for $1 million.

The behind-the-scenes action on Iron Man 2 is almost as exciting as the movie itself.

Gwyneth Paltrow, who returns as Iron Man’s PA Pepper Potts, is furious that new co-star Scarlett Johansson is stealing her limelight.

Scarlett, who plays a Russian spy, appears in a promotional campaign alongside the film’s other stars, Robert Downey Jr and Mickey Rourke.

A source said: ‘Gwyneth was afraid she’d be upstaged by Scarlett and not being in the campaign was the final straw.

‘She is furious she’s been left out.’

Gwyneth Paltrow tours Spain with Mario Batali, Mark Bittman, and Claudia Bassols.  They are touring Spain finding the best food around.  This trip will be made into a television show and book to be released soon.
