Jessica Alba has confessed that she never wanted to get married as she had no faith in the institution.
The Sin City star, who had a quiet wedding with Cash Warren in 2008, said that she had a hard time agreeing to the marriage.
“I had a hard time agreeing with marriage at all because I feel like its been warped. Originally, it was two families coming together to make a stronger family. It was about survival – not love or soul mates,” Contactmusic quoted her telling Cosmopolitan magazine.
“There’s this mentality that you need the big dress and the big day – the day every girl gets to be a princess. I didn’t agree with any of that,” she added.
A reluctant Alba married Warren just weeks before giving birth to their daughter Honor Marie, and never wanted the union to go public.
“I chose to get married because, essentially, you’re given a deck of cards in life. The hand you were dealt with is your family and you can’t choose them.”
Jessica Alba is in negotiations to join the Ben Stiller/Robert DeNiro comedy “Little Fockers.” She’d play the role of an attractive pharmaceutical rep whose looks wreak havoc on male characters in the story.
Paul Weitz is directing the third installment in the successful Universal and Tribeca Productions franchise. Production is set to begin in the next few months, with a 2010 release date likely.
The picture is expected to pick up where 2004’s “Meet the Fockers” left off, with Stiller’s Gaylord Focker and Teri Polo’s Pamela Byrnes becoming parents. John Hamburg, one of the screenwriters on the earlier film, wrote the latest version of the script.
Jessica Alba will not face any criminal charges for plastering shark posters all over Oklahoma City on behalf of a conservation group.

Alba found herself in hot water last week when photos surfaced of her papering over a United Way billboard as part of a guerrilla-style campaign for White Mike, an L.A.-based group aiming to raise awareness of the endangered great white shark. She quickly apologized for the “spontaneous and ill-advised stunt.”
Jessica Alba is keen to expand her family now she’s finally lost the weight she gained as a new mum.
The Sin City star gave birth to baby Honor in June and immediately put on weight. She had to race off to the gym to get her pre-baby figure back.
She tells U.S. news show Extra, “I worked out. It wasn’t fun. Twice a day. I ate really healthy.”
But now she’s back in shape, Alba wants more kids with husband Cash Warren: “We’ll have a few (kids)… three or four.”
