Producers of the U.K.’s vocal talent show The X-Factor have announced that Katy Perry will step in as a guest judge in the absence of Danii Minogue, who is leaving the show to have a baby.

Perry is just the latest in a string of guest judges that include Pixie Lott, Natalie Imbruglia and Geri Halliwell.

Rihanna shared on Ryan Seacrest’s Radio Show that Katy Perry has asked her to organize her bachelorette party, “She put that on me last week. I have to come up with something cool because she’s getting married in India,” the 22-year old singer told Ryan. “But that’s at the end of the year so we’ve got some time to plan,” she admits with relief.

Katy, 25, had been dating 34-year old Russell for just four months when he proposed on New Year’s Eve in Jaipur, which – in an entirely unrelated tidbit which may suggest why Russell likes it – is known as ‘The Pink City.’

Katy Perry’s message on her Twitter page has sent rumours rocketing that she is expecting a baby with boyfriend Russell Brand.

Perry and Brand, who have been dating since September 2009, got engaged on the New Year’s Eve during a vacation in India. And now Perry has sparked reports that the two are set to start a family after posting a message on social networking site Twitter.com, reports celebrifi.com.

“Hey RustyRockets [Brand] I heard ur prego-ed (sic). I love you RustyRockets,” she wrote. She then added messages about her food cravings while in India.

“Russell and Katy have fallen head over heels for each other… He has already told us he doesn’t want to waste time [starting a family]. We’d be thrilled if they are having babies together,” a source told Daily Mirror newspaper.

Agents for both Perry and Brand have refused to confirm or deny whether the singer is pregnant.

The wacky pair — who’ve been dating since September 2009 — became betrothed five days ago while on holiday in Jaipur, India. A pal says that Brand, 34, proposed with a ring, and that Perry, 25, happily accepted.

After getting over her initial shock, the singer decided to take it as a compliment.

“I didn’t know that about myself, but I’m very flattered, thank you,” said the Grammy nominated singer.
