Shakira has announced the first three dates of her North America tour, which will hit New York’s Madison Square Garden September 21, Houston’s Toyota Center October 8 and L.A.’s Staples Center October 23.

The Wizards over at Waverly Place better watch out…Shakira’s coming to town and she’s definitely going to shake things up a bit — if you know what we mean!

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer, told Access Hollywood that she’s playing herself (or rather mocking herself) in the guest starring role. “Shakira doesn’t really exist. She’s one of Kelbo’s creations. It’s a complicated thing,” she divulged in the interview.

Shakira, who also recently appeared on the ABC sitcom Ugly Betty, said she learned a thing or two during her time on Wizards.

“I’m actually quite funny, I can say,” she said. “I had no idea I could do a little bit of comedy.”

As for her cast mates, Shakira had nothing but positive things to say, especially about “Wizard’s” star Selena Gomez, who was recently voted as the best celebrity influence of 2009.

“She’s a good, talented artist. [Selena] has a great voice…the whole cast made me feel at home. They’re great.”
